Miami Tribe Of Oklahoma Death Benefit Disbursement Policy

CLAIMS FOR DEATH BENEFITS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS OF THE DATE OF DEATH LISTED ON DEATH CERTIFICATE.

The Miami Tribe of Oklahoma provides each tribal member a death benefit in the amount of $3,500 (three thousand, five hundred U.S. dollars). This is the Tribe’s way of assisting the family with funeral expenses or other costs at the time of a member’s death. For instructions to receive this benefit, please refer to the Death Benefit Policy and submit the Death Disbursement Designation Form. For more information, please contact the Benefits Department.
